Had my lunch here today and this is my second visit. Both my friend and I were disappointed. Its a japanese noodles bar but the worst thing is the noodle itself. I ordered the recommended Kimchee pork noodles. It came with the hot soup and the cold kimchee on top. The kimchee was OK, but the pork slices arent any japanese style at all -- they were like the household hotpot quality pork slices that buy in the local market.
This was the first disappointment.Then poke your chopsticks downwards was the noodle --
very very soft noodles that had already lost its texture. And the noodles itself werent like any japanese noodles you found anywhere outside -- neither the white thin noodles in 豚王, nor the yellow thicker noodles in 麵屋一平安. However, and for the worst, its like the instant noodles! Cooked to very very soft, it cant hold any shape on the chopsticks. We really questionned if this is a particular style that was popular in japan?So overall we think we were paying almost a $80 for a very homemade bowl of noodles which you and me can handle easily at home.
For recent vigorous competition of japs noodles in the market, i think here must make some changes in order to hold its customers.
